In short
- No account. No analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- Recordings, transcripts and notes stay on your phone. We never receive them.
- The app goes online only to download speech models, to show ads (Google AdMob) and for purchases (Google Play).
- We do not sell data.
Who we are

What stays on your phone
Recordings you make, files you import, transcripts, your edits, notes and folders are kept in the app’s private storage on your phone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Transcription runs on the phone.
When you export, copy or share a transcript, it goes where you choose to send it.
Microphone
The microphone permission is used only to record inside the app, when you start a recording. You can withdraw it at any time in Android settings; importing files keeps working without it.
When the app uses the internet
The app connects to the network for three things only:
- Downloading speech models from huggingface.co and github.com. Like any download, those servers see your device’s IP address and the request.
- Ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect and process the advertising ID, IP address, device and app information and how you interact with ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, whether ads are personalised depends on your choice in Google’s consent form. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Purchases through Google Play Billing. Payments are processed by Google. We do not receive your payment details.
Google’s handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
What we do not do
- No user account and no sign-in.
- No analytics and no crash-reporting SDK in the app.
- We do not sell or rent any data.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 16.
Deleting your data
Delete recordings and transcripts in the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes everything it stored on the phone. The downloaded speech models can be deleted in the app’s Settings.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to complain to a data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
In practice, we hold no personal data from your use of the app. The only personal data we may have is what you send us by email, which we use only to answer you. To exercise any right for that data, write to SnoochieSoft@proton.me. For data processed by Google for ads and purchases, use the controls Google provides.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling data differently, we will update this page and its effective date before the change ships.
